As the Faculty of Sport Sciences, our mission is to be an institution that produces knowledge in line with contemporary requirements, values learning and research, prioritizes human values and health, trains responsible individuals with high quality of life, and serves sport sciences and performance sports, while raising graduates who uphold national and moral values.

Faculty of Sport Sciences – 2025 Goals**
- Continuously improving the quality of programs (Goal 1.1.*)
- a) It is aimed to implement the 7+1 Education and Training curriculum in the Recreation Department in 2025.
b) It is aimed to initiate the accreditation processes of the Coaching Education and Recreation departments in 2025. - Enhancing the instructional and teaching qualifications of academic staff (Goal 1.2.*)
It is aimed to plan at least one in-service training course for our academic staff in 2025 on statistics, analysis, and measurement and evaluation.
- Increasing the international recognition of the university (Goal 1.3.*)
As a faculty, it is aimed to participate in at least one international project to increase our international visibility.
- Training graduates who are professionally competent and open to development (Goal 1.4.*)
- a) It is aimed to organize at least one talk for our students with individuals who are role models academically and professionally.
b) It is aimed for our faculty members and students to organize 10 joint activities.
- Increasing the capacity of research personnel to conduct innovative and high-quality research (Goal 2.1.*)
- a) It is aimed to increase the number of publications indexed in Web of Science, Scopus and Sport Discuss to above 20 within the 2024–2025 academic year.
b) It is aimed for our faculty’s research personnel to apply for at least two projects.
- Supporting projects aimed at the priority areas of the region (Goal 2.2.*)
To provide support for performance measurement tests of professional sports clubs coming to our city of Afyonkarahisar for training camps, within the construction, planning, and project development processes carried out under the vision of “Sports City Afyonkarahisar.”
- Strengthening cooperation with external stakeholders (Goal 3.1.*)
- a) It is aimed to sign various protocols with external stakeholders, provide training in needed areas, and improve cooperation with public institutions and private sector organizations.
b) It is aimed to provide at least three training sessions to athletes, coaches, and sports clubs in cooperation with external stakeholders.
- Strengthening relations with alumni (Goal 3.2.*)
- a) It is aimed to plan at least one event for our faculty alumni.
b) It is aimed to organize at least one Career Days Talk for our students with alumni who have established careers.
